A new photographic exhibition is on display at Octavia View until Thursday 30 January.

The new exhibition, themed “Community Treasures”, is the result of a photography competition captured by groups across Cambridgeshire to encourage individuals and communities to celebrate the work of their favourite charity or community group. This is to help express how important the work of charities are in the lives of people across the country.

Jez Reeves, Chief Executive Officer of Cambridge Council for Voluntary Service who was part of the judging panel said:

“The quality of the entrants this year was amazing. The breadth of subjects shows the incredible diversity of the work that community groups and charities do across the county, and highlights the importance of the services and support that volunteers and staff give”.

The exhibition which includes all entries can be viewed between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 4pm on Saturday.

Octavia View can be accessed through the Octavia’s Shop on South Brink or from the Somers Road car park. Those who visit between Wednesday and Saturday from 10am until 4pm can take advantage of Octavia’s Café and grab a homemade cake and a cup of tea.
