Introducing the Ferry Project Cookery School

The Ferry Project is pleased to be working with acclaimed local chef and cookery teacher, Alison Crouch in the new Ferry Project Cookery School.

The Cookery School is there to help the clients of the homelessness charity as well as reaching out into the wider community of Wisbech. Private classes are also available.

From learning how to cook basic, nutritious, and money-saving meals through to more sophisticated dishes from around the world, the Ferry Project Cookery School has something for everyone.

It has its own facilities located in the Octavia View building along Wisbech’s historic South Brink, where classes of up to twelve people can get hands-on cooking experience. However, the School is not anchored to the building. It also goes out into the wider community and offers cookery sessions in other locations and community groups.

As well as providing hands-on cookery lessons for all ages, Alison will also be giving cookery demonstrations. An example of this is the up-and-coming collaboration with ‘Eating For Health’ where there will be talks and demonstrations about ‘Cooking for Diabetes’, ‘Cooking for ADHD’ and ‘Cooking for Coeliacs’.

Alison Crouch is a highly experienced chef and cookery teacher. She has worked in the catering industry for 35 years in restaurants, teaching in schools, recipe writing, food history and nutrition. She has worked alongside chefs such as Gordon Ramsey, Brian Turner and Cyrus Todiwala and has appeared on a number of TV and radio shows.

For further information or to make a booking please contact Alison on 07778324250.
