HOMELESSNESS PREVENTION STRATEGY
The Queen Mary Centre plays an important role in our homelessness prevention strategy. By providing a place where a variety of services are available to the general public, which include: healthcare and wellbeing services, community and faith groups, help and advice, and lifestyle and fitness groups, we hope to help people before they reach the crisis point of becoming homeless, and if they are heading in that direction, we can identify their needs and offer assistance before that point is reached.
By bringing the community together, we also hope to help our clients who are experiencing homelessness reintegrate into the community. To begin to feel that they belong again, that they are wanted and are valued. And, in turn, help to educate our community about rural homelessness.
