Volunteers 'Giving Something Back'
On Friday 19th September 2025, we welcomed seven people from WMH Treatment who are part of Anglian Water's @OneAlliance.
They set to work repainting the Training Room that is part of our Octavia View building - the main base of operations and our homelessness hostel / havens.
This room is used for training of staff and clients, meetings and education. When the weather poses serious risk to those who are street homeless, this room transforms into our SWEP provision (Severe Weather Emergency Protocol). So this room is used for a variety of functions and is a vital asset to our work helping homeless people on their journey as we help them move from homelessness to independent living.
WMH Treatment have been visiting and giving a day of their time every year for several years now. They say it is part of 'giving something back' to the community. We very much appreciate their efforts and think the Training Room looks lovely now with a fresh coat of paint.
Thank you.
