Free Digital Support Comes to Wisbech

Ferry Project and Queen Mary Centre are pleased to be working with Cambridge Online as they expand their services into the Fenland region. This includes providing free digital support services in Wisbech for anyone who needs help with using their computer, tablet or smartphone.

You will be able to access face-to-face help with a real person to assist with things such as: internet shopping, booking appointments online, learning how to do internet banking (especially as many banking branches in town are now closing), online safety, how to send emails and text messages, basic computer skills, accessing the NHS app, social connection and wellbeing and much more.

People are encouraged to bring their own devices to these free drop-in sessions if they have them. If not, there will be some devices available during the session.

These sessions will be run by Cambridge Online who believe in digital skills for all. Founded in 1995 in Cambridge, the organisation has been helping people to keep abreast of the ever-changing digital landscape by providing free digital skills initiatives in the Cambridge area. In recent years, the demand for digital support services has grown rapidly, which has seen Cambridge Online expand into Peterborough and Fenland.

Sessions will begin at the Queen Mary Centre in Wisbech (PE13 2PE) on Friday 21st November between 10am-12pm and will run every week up to and including Friday 5th December. They will restart on 9th January 2026 and then occur once a fortnight. These drop-in sessions are free of charge and are a wonderful opportunity for anyone who finds technology challenging to access the support they need to be able to carry out essential digital tasks.
