Ferry Project Signs the Menopause Workplace Pledge
Ferry Project is now a menopause friendly organisation, meaning we recognise that the menopause can be an issue in the workplace and some women need support.
Many women quit their jobs, reduce their hours, and pass up promotions due to the menopause, but we pledge to provide a supportive environment where we talk openly, positively and respectfully about the menopause. We will ensure that our staff receive the support they need so that everyone has the best chance of having a fulfilled and fruitful career at the Ferry Project.
Our staff do their best work when they feel valued and heard, meaning we can better support our clients on their journey from homelessness to independence. It’s a win for everyone!
We are joining other organisations, such as the House of Commons, Royal Mail and the BBC, in making this pledge, and are confident this will benefit not just women over 50 at the Ferry Project, but the entire charity.
You can find out more, including how your organisation can sign the pledge, at wellbeingofwomen.org.uk.
