We wish to inform our valued supporters, funders, donors, and partners that our CEO, Keith Smith, has recently received a significant health diagnosis, which will necessitate changes to some of our operations, effective January 2026.

Due to Keith’s ill health, he will be stepping back from his role as operational CEO of the Ferry Project, effective January 1, 2026, to allow him the time and space needed for treatment and recovery. Our CEO Designate, Sandra Ferreira, will take over all operational matters from that date. Please contact Sandra for any Ferry Project matters.

Keith will still be present for the first few months of 2026 between treatments and recovery, but will only be doing some behind-the-scenes work until he officially retires at the end of March 2026.
