So here it is Merry Christmas!
This Christmas, clients at the Ferry Project had much to celebrate despite their circumstances.
Festivities began earlier this month with a Christmas Celebration that brought together staff, clients, and stakeholders to reflect on the successes of 2025. Attendees enjoyed a hog roast, hot drinks, carol singing, and various activities.
Throughout the Christmas period, a wide variety of activities were organised for clients, including a hot chocolate and games evening, a full English breakfast morning, baking sessions, Christmas tree decorating, and Christmas jumper making.
On Christmas morning, every resident received a Christmas hamper filled with gifts and presents donated in the weeks and months leading up to the holiday, thanks to the generosity of numerous individuals and local businesses. In the afternoon, everyone sat down to a festive Christmas dinner complete with all the trimmings, largely made possible by generous donors.
There was so much food that on Boxing Day, the leftovers were transformed into Bubble and Squeak.
Thanks to our team of dicated staff who continued to work through the Christmas period, helping to ensure our clients were supported at what can be a very difficult time of year. And thanks also to all those who donated this Christmas - wether it was gifts, food or money. You truly helped to make a difference in the lives of those in our community who needed a bit of kindness this Christmas.
We commend all our clients who are moving from homelessness to independent living. Your courage and determination inspire the best in all of us.
We are excited to see what 2026 will bring and are hopeful that for many who have engaged with our services, it will herald a brighter future.
