Ferry Project Releases New Cookery Booklet with a Difference

No access to a cooker? You haven’t got a fully equipped kitchen but still want to eat healthy and affordable meals? The new cookery book from Ferry Project Cookery School has got you covered!

Bish Bash Bosh! Is the latest cookery book to come from Ferry Project Cookery School containing 14 tasty, healthy and economical recipes for those who have limited kitchen resources.

Whether you're a busy professional, a student, or simply someone looking for quick, easy, and healthy dishes on a budget, this book is your ultimate kitchen companion.

Discover a treasure trove of inventive recipes that can be made using just a wok, kettle, microwave, or air fryer. You’ll be amazed at the delightful meals you can whip up with minimal equipment—all while keeping your wallet happy.

Crafted by the talented Alison Crouch, founder of the Ferry Project Cookery School, these recipes are not just about sustenance; they are about celebrating the joy of cooking.

With Alison’s expert guidance, you’ll learn to create dishes that are not only flavourful and delightful but also nutritionally balanced and affordable. Dive in and discover just how rewarding cooking can be!

Bish Bash Bosh! is the second smaller cookery booklet the Cookery School has published, following on from One Pot Wonders, that contains 14 recipes of easy to prepare, meals that are healthy and affordable and can be cooked all in one pot. These booklets sit alongside the larger, The Four Seasons cookery book, also written by Alison Crouch, that contains 40 seasonal recipes and comes in hardback or paperback.

The Ferry Project Cookery School is based at Octavia View in Wisbech and is for anyone who wants to learn how to cook, or those wanting to develop their cooking skills.

As part of the Ferry Project, the Cookery School provides vocational skills and work experience in hospitality for Ferry Project’s homeless clients, alongside training in useful cookery skills which equip them to live independently. This forms a vital part of the holistic homelessness support they provide to their clients.

The Cookery School is also a social enterprise, which means that by running classes, courses and events for the general public in the local community, it helps to generate an income for the charity which in turn helps them to continue their work to assist homeless single adults on their journey towards independent living.

Alison Crouch says: “I hope people will use this book to discover that you can still enjoy cooking and create healthy, nutritious meals even if you don’t have much kitchen equipment”.

Alison Crouch has over 35 years of experience working in the food industry and is passionate about enabling others to cook. She has managed restaurants, created recipes, presented at food shows alongside Gordon Ramsay and Rosemary Shrager, studied food history while working with the National Trust, and helped people through her magazine articles and radio phone-ins.
